Knob Smuggling
Fletcher Casement was the most prominent Manxman to be engaged in this trade which, though much romanticised, was illegal at the time of the Great Knob Prohibition. Many was the time he pitted his wits against the greedy and unscrupulous Revenue agent "Old Fudger" - who was actually trying to corner the market for himself.
Manx Knobs on the Moon?
Despite extravagant headlines, few hard facts seem to have emerged. The original sighting from the Jurby Space Telescope has now been followed by claims of a tin being sighted on the dark side of the Moon. (We wonder if a Professor Floyd might be involved...) Any information will be treated in strictest confidence.
Getting married?
